I love an excuse to celebrate, whether it’s the Queens birthday or my neighbours birthday, I’m there for the fizz and the jollies. The same with festive occasions. If you know me even the slightest bit you will know I ADORE Christmas with a slightly ridiculous passion…it just makes me so happy. As I grew too old for the exciting Halloween evening of trick or treating I grew out of my love of Halloween. To top it off, I HATE anything scary. Even though I have lost the kiddie excitement of Halloween I love having a reason to celebrate something. Painting your nails in a ghouley fashion is the perfect way to “adult” Halloween. Feature nails are huge right now so why not stick on a nail decal on your ring finger and paint the rest in a blood red? I have picked my favourite Autumn/Halloween colours for you which are totally wearable. Check out my Halloween nails Pinterest board for some super cute ideas.
I love Leighton Deny nail varnishes, they seem to stay put for a really long time. Navy and black nail varnish are perfect for this halloween and navy just happens to be on trend right now. If you have kids you could paint the nails of everyone in the family, even the boy-est of boys…the black is totally goth.
I was new to IZ until last week when their PR company kindly sent me some to try and I am really impressed. I love the adorable small square bottles which have great brushes which are really easy to apply with. They are also super affordable!! The minky/brown colour isn’t necessarily my normal colour but is the perfect Autumn nail colour to wear with chunky knits. The red colour is absolutely dreamy and I am already hooked. It’s a lovely red, which you can see I am wearing in the photos.
I have used nail decals since I was little. I love how you can stick on adorable little pictures so easily, immediately jazzing up the dullest of nails…I mean I could never draw them on freehand so a sticker is the answer. IZ have zillions of adorable decal sets for every occasion, my next purchase needs to be the flamingos!!
