NETFLIX PICKS {SEPTEMBER 2017}

Welcome to September everyone. Chapter NINE of the year and the air now has a little chill to it…yep, I am super excited for the autumn. I am ready for those cosy nights in watching TV without the constant whir of the fan in the background. I hope you all enjoyed last months picks which were all downloadable, I think it was actually my most popular Netflix Picks blogpost I have ever written. I am now back with a little list for you to keep you entertained this month. My list happens to all be TV shows, which is great for you to dip in and out of each night now school and work are back to normal. If you are only going to watch one new show this month make sure it is the first in my list, you won’t regret it.

ATYPICAL

This program is fabulously made, the casting is perfection and the way they portrayed autism is my opinion was great. The voiceover and lead is played by Keir Gilchrist and plays Sam absolutely perfectly. We binged the 8 half hour episodes within a couple of days, we laughed, we cried and we cheered as Sam manages to get a girlfriend. Every character is so sweet and played with the perfect amount of sensitivity to the subject matter. My favourite character was Sam’s girlfriend played by Jenna Boyd, I am sure we will be seeing far more of her. I really hope there will be a second season, fingers crossed.

NARCOS (season 3)

Season 3 sees us back in Columbia but with a different drug cartel. These drug lords treat the cocaine life like a Fortune 500 business and are every bit as interesting as Pablo Escobar’s first two seasons. I knew about Pablo before watching Narcos so I really enjoyed the first two seasons, yet I know nothing about these new guys even though it is based on a true story. We are three episodes in and enjoying it, yet I sadly struggle to watch because it takes so much concentration to make sure you don’t pick up your phone otherwise you will miss reading the subtitles haha.

SHOOTER (season 2)

Shooter, season 2 is back and has broken away from the movie that it was based on. The same lead characters are back but this season starts off with a bang and at a faster pace. Half way through the series and I still think the show is great but I feel it has got a lot more gruesome.

NEW BLOOD

This BBC Investigative drama is a little gem that I had never known about. The complete series 1 is now airing on Netflix and Liam and I watched the lot over a week and are gutted that the show is yet to be cancelled or renewed. I loved how this show was tense but also really funny at times with its two young lead men, one a detective and the other working for the crime prevention unit. Definitely worth a watch.

SUITS (season 7)

Suits is never bad but oh boy there is a lot of drama at the beginning of season 7. Yet, isn’t there always? I feel they need to wrap up the cliff hangers from the prior season and all scream about it for a few episodes, then they are back to normal with Harvey and Mike fighting off the bad guys. Oh so happy it is back…just wish all of the episode were out so I could have a binging session this weekend.

What shows are you loving?
