LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO BEAUTY PIE

LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO BEAUTY PIE | Megan Taylor

Have you heard of Beauty Pie before? No, it’s not some sort of pie to stick your face in and come out glowing. It is in fact a brand that has been out for a while but only last month did I have a chance to try it out. I have been testing the products for a month now and thought I would let you know what I thought of the whole process and the beauty products themselves.

THE NITTY GRITTY

So, let me tell you the complexity of the situation and the whole process. You can simply buy all the products at full price as you would do on any site but there is a much cheaper alternative as well. If you have a membership to their site (£10 per month) you can buy the products at a HUGELY discounted price…like insanely discounted. You can become a member for just 3 months if you want to try it out and you will definitely gain that £30 membership back within your first order. Below each of my pictures you can see the members and non-members prices for an example of the mahoosive discount.
The idea of Beauty Pie is that all of the products are priced at factory cost and all of the packaging is recycled and sustainable and also lightweight thus saving costs in all stages of the making of the product, yet the products themselves are made in the same way as premium upmarket products. What I really love is how the website shows the breakdown of the factory, packaging and safety testing costs for each product to show you exactly what makes up the cost of a beauty product…it’s so interesting.

WHAT’S TO OFFER

Beauty Pie have everything on offer that a every great make up line normal has. I adore their styling and branding, it is a bit like Bobbi Brown and Lord & Berry as it is packaged simply in black and white and is super sleek. I also love their imagery on their site with the splash of the product behind the product shot. I have always loved that, it brings the product to life and almost feels tangible (just me?). I personally find it hard to buy foundations and lipsticks online without trying but am always up for buying eyeshadows online by just seeing a swatch. I feel like Beauty Pie would do even better if they had a pop up store for the more dubious beauty addicts to have a little try and get addicted to the products in person and be able to have a membership card to pay less.

MY FAVOURITE PICKS

I have tried a couple of the lip glosses, the shadow palette and the cream and without a doubt my favourite was the gloss named Sugar Bun. The colour of the gloss looks brown in the tube and initially that put me off, yet as soon as I swatched it I realised it was the perfect nude. The colour is a bit of a pinky natural nude giving the appearance of a nice tanned look. Simply, I adore it and have worn it for every Instagram photo that I have put up recently (check my ‘Chip’ tee pic and ‘Tili Box’ picture to have a closer look and let me know what you think).
