I am not a dermatologist or doctor. These tips work for me.
Right, before we start, I must tell you that I spent about 9 months of Roaccutane when I was 25. I suffered with dreadful acne for about 4/5 years and after a bought of Roaccutane I zapped them fully. Sadly it was a little bit too late and I was left with a little bit go scarring, although not too dreadfully. Although I am now, luckily, rid of acne I do still get a few rogue spots from time to time because of over indulgence in sugar or alcohol and often get a “time of the month” spot. I can normally tell when I am going to get a spot but they come in different sizes and vary in their epic-ness. When they are epic I over-react and can be seen freaking out that I may get acne again. Besides my melt downs I have worked out how to zap it and completely. I have found that the epic ones can be zapped in 5 days. These tips are pretty deep in the clean living lifestyle but if you really want to get rid of that spot then you will want to follow this.
HOW TO ZAP THE SPOT
•STOP drinking alcohol.
•STOP consuming big sugars such as biscuits and chocolate.
•Eat estrogen rich foods every day. I add edamame beans to all of my salads and stir fries.
•On days 1-3 put neat tea tree or lavender essential oil on your spot every night. If you are at home put the neat essential oil on the spot a further 2-3 times during the day.
•Use an organic balm or serum such as Balm Balm or Angelico on your face and massage into the spot twice a day on days 4 and 5.
In my experience these 5 tips will get rid of that spot. Try it and let me know if it works for you too.
Brilliant advice, I’ll defo try this method. I too get spots due to alcohol, sugar and esp. when combined with bad sleep. The bad sleep thing makes me think, “is there a point during every night where spots emerge and if I get good sleep they just have time to go away? Silly, but that’s what my brain wonders…
