THE EASIEST WAY TO CODE A BLOG POST

5 TOP TIPS TO SUCCESSFULLY WORKING FROM HOME | Megan Taylor

For many, one of the biggest hurdles to creating a blog post can be the technical hurdle. I am dreadful at maths but techie stuff has always come quite naturally to me and I actually enjoy it. I have been learning to code for a long time. In 2015 I downloaded the free app Lrn (this isn’t an ad). This app teaches you the basics and helps you read coding. You don’t have to be an absolute whizz at coding to get by, but it is great to be able to pick out little sections to help you understand why something is sitting somewhere on your webpage and how to move it. I am here to teach you a super basic thing that you can copy and paste to work on like a kids work book on each of your blog posts. This coding will increase your SEO rating by including subheadings and improve your blogging productivity in general as it gives you a guide of what to write for a easy to read piece of copy. Why not give it a go…don’t be scared, I promise it is wonderfully simple.

(Did you know that I have a whole ‘Blogger Advice’ section on my site?)

TEXT

With the below coding you just need to copy and paste it and stick in in your computers notes so you can always come back to it and squirt it into the ‘text’ section of your blog draft whenever you are writing a new post. When you are typing away on a blog post when using WordPress for example you will see in the top right (below your blog title) it will say ‘Visual’ and ‘Text’. Click on ‘Text’ and paste the coding I have given you below into this section.
I personally like to write my blog posts in the ‘Text’ area among my coding but you can do it in the ‘Visual’ section for now whilst you are learning what’s what.

THE ONLY CODING YOU NEED TO KNOW

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Intro paragraph</p>

<h2 style=”text-align: center;”>FIRST SUB-TITLE</h2>

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Writing</p>

<h2 style=”text-align: center;”>SECOND SUB-TITLE</h2>

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Writing</p>

<h2 style=”text-align: center;”>THIRD SUB-TITLE</h2>

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Writing</p>

<p style=”text-align: center;”>Ask a question to gain some chat</p>

WHAT DOES THIS CODING MEAN?
