WHAT’S NEW ON MY BEAUTY SHELF

WHAT'S NEW ON MY BEAUTY SHELF | Megan Taylor

A couple of weeks ago I went to a few events which had more than generous goodie bags. They were literally filled to the brim with goodies. The Glamour Festival goodie bag was particularly amazing, filled with beauty products I have always wanted to try such a Nars, Kat Von D and High Definition make up.

NARS BABY

As a beauty blogger I think it is rather insane that I have never ever owned or tried a NARS beauty product!! I have had Nars used on me at photoshoots but not a full face of it so have never had a good inspection of its quality. This lip product is basically a stain. Even though this is a mini sized version, it will last way beyond its sell by date. You only need one dab of the product on your lips, to then be spread about to create a rich colour on your lips. Although I really love this product, it is Hella messy.

NEWBIES

I hadn’t heard of Nude By Nature until I attended the Glamour Beauty Festival but I was really drawn in by the nude packaging. I have really enjoyed this concealer, although I think it is a shade to light for me sadly. The consistency is quite thick and tacky which although sound like bad words, I actually love this texture. It stays put really well and I am going to seek out a darker shade. Oh, also it’s 50% off here!
Joan Collins Beauty line have made a lash treatment which you brush on at night to help your lashes grow. I have only used it once so far so can’t tell if it works or not. The treatment is filled with seaweed, algae and lemon…interesting concoction of goodies to help your lashes grow longer and thicker.

PANDA EYES

I have always wanted to try Kat Von D make up, ever since I went to New York absolutely forever ago. It was only available in America for such a long time but I have now found it in Debenhams. This Tattoo Liner is great and stays put really well.
I have a lipstick by Inika which I love and this mascara seems great. Yet, you do need to let it dry before fluttering your lashes as it takes a moment to set and can transfer at first. Although this mascara is a bit on the pricy side the most wonderful thing is that it is vegan…amazing!
I feel like everyone and their mum have been singing the praises of High Definition brows for so long now and I have final had a try for myself. This brow pencil is amazing! I love it, you barely need to touch it to your brows and you already have a highly pigmented brow. Although, my brows are super dark and rather thick so I don’t need too much anyway. This pencil is going to last me a lifetime. Check out my past blog on my review of the rest of the Joan Collins make up line…hint, it’s lush.

Have you tried any of these products? Which are you most excited about?
