I am one of the biggest bath fans you will find. If you search bath on my website you will find no less than 26 posts chatting about the wonders of bathing haha. At least you know I’m not dirty ;p I tend to shower more than bathe in the summer months because of the sheer heat that we are experiencing on weeks like these. Even though this is the case I have actually found a way of having a relaxing bath in the Summer for different reasons than I would in the winter.
I’m not talking about icy water because that would frankly be too much for my delicate body to handle. I am talking tepid and refreshing but still warm enough to hang out in for relaxation.
Magnesium salts are all the rage at the moment. They have always been a “thing” but they have recently garnered the attention of big brands who are now producing them at affordable prices and in aesthetically pleasing packaging which you want to display in your bathroom. Liam wrote a great post on all of the different types of bath salts you can use and why they are useful. Magnesium in particular is amazing to relax your muscles. I have been gyming hard lately to enable me to drink Spritz and Pimms every weekend and as a result my body is rather tired. With every opportunity possible I have been soaking in a bath with a handful or two of magnesium salts from Ren.
I don’t know about you but my house is stinky hot right now. I live on a fairly busy road so I can’t sleep with my windows open and I have a fan blaring away all night long just to allow me not to stick to myself (TMI?). I have started to have my cool baths about half an hour before sleep and as a result my body temperature is much lower and I can get off to sleep a lot quicker.
Do you bathe in the summer? How are you coping in this heat?
